 
				Keith Wen

Keith L. Wen is a New York State registered architect with experience in the fields of architecture and building regulations.
He serves as the key reviewer of Construction Codes Determination (CCD-1) and Zoning Resolution Determination (ZRD-1) appeal submissions, and render decisions.
Mr. Wen is the appointee by Mayor Bill de Blasio to the NYS Fire Prevention and Building Code Council, which is empowered to maintain and periodically update the Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and State Energy Conservation Construction Code.
Mr. Wen played a pivotal role at the DOB on modernizing the then 40-year-old 1968 Code to the 2008 NYC Construction Codes, and paving the way the city revises the codes on a regular basis to keep up-to-date with technological and safety advancements. Since then, he has served on the national level, the International Code Council IBC General Code Development Committee, and the IBC Egress Committee.
He joined the DOB in 2005 and is now serving as the Assistant Commissioner for Code and Zoning Interpretation. Mr. Wen received his Bachelor of Architecture with honors from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
He has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards as a professional architect.
