KPFF Consulting Engineers
Kevin Nadolny is a structural engineer with 20 years of experience and an associate at KPFF Consulting Engineers. His approach to design begins with understanding the goals of clients and architects, then responding with elegant, innovative solutions that balance architectural vision with constructability, performance, and schedule.
Kevin’s career spans a wide range of project types and geographies, including seven years as an engineer in Japan. His portfolio includes high-rise towers in East Asia and the Middle East, as well as seismic retrofits of historic buildings throughout the Pacific Northwest. This global perspective informs his thoughtful and collaborative approach to engineering.
Kevin currently leads the structural design of several mass timber projects in Oregon, including a couple new high schools in Portland, the Redmond Public Library, and the seismic retrofit of multiple historic timber buildings. His work explores the intersection of advanced modeling, hybrid structural systems, and emerging technologies like 3D printing to prototype complex timber-steel connections.
As mass timber continues to evolve, Kevin is focused on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible—developing solutions that are not only structurally sound but also architecturally expressive and constructible in the real world.
