Dave introduced the U.S. Forest Service leadership to CLT in 2010 and helped launch their participation in its development. He retired from the USFS in 2014 but continues to work at the nexus of forest management and wood products to help create the balance between social, economic and environmental needs of a carbon neutral society, from biochar to mass timber to resilient sustainable forests.
