Kory Ray is an accomplished builder who entered the industry as a union carpenter apprentice in 2001, and has risen to senior superintendent at Howard S. Wright. Being the son of a finish carpenter, Kory was raised to understand the balance of production and quality in all aspects of construction, whether it is concrete form work or finish panel installation. Throughout his 22 year career he has worked on a diverse range of project types ranging from heavy industrial to academic research facilities. He is experienced in supporting all project delivery types, however, his preferred method is design-build where his builder mindset and collaborative management style yields great results for clients. His most recent completed design-build project is the Salem Public Works Operations Center, where he was able to demonstrate his commitment to quality and operational excellence delivering a world class mass timber facility. Aside from his passion at work, Kory is an accomplished outdoorsman who enjoys all aspects of the northwest with his family and friends.
