Henning Larsen
A Seoul-born, Boston-raised designer, Lois is a registered architect whose strong design background has allowed her to build a diverse project portfolio. Lois earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania where she also taught design studios as an assistant instructor. Her academic and research work has been showcased in an exhibition at the Center for Architecture in Philadelphia as well as at the AIA Center for Emerging Professionals in Washington D.C.
For over a decade, Lois has shaped diverse built environment in North American through design. Her work encompasses projects spanning across residential, commercial, institutional, and educational building typologies as well as masterplans. Her passion lies in people-oriented placemaking that enrich individual and communal experiences and drawing inspiration from context unique to each project. Joining Henning Larsen’s New York studio in 2020, she has since led the East Civic Tower project in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Rice University’s 600-bed student dormitory and dining facility in Houston, Texas.
