Mike is a part of the Commercial Platform for the Conceptual Construction Group and is responsible for preconstruction services including design development, budget control, scheduling, value engineering, materials purchases, and contractor and consultant contract negotiations for various Hines projects.

In this role, Mike was the lead for preconstruction services for more than 50 projects amounting to approximately 30 million square feet across North America, China, and Australia. In addition, Mike has been heavily involved in the mass timber projects for Hines, having been directly involved in more than 15 projects amounting to roughly 4 million square feet. He also frequently advises on mass timber projects in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. He is committed to maintaining the risk-managed process which helps ensure that each project meets goals of quality, cost, delivery schedule, and ultimately, performance, while also integrating the lessons learned from past projects.

Prior to joining Hines in 2012, Mike was a principal with Kendall/Heaton Associates where he was directly involved projects ranging in type from high-rise to performing arts centers.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University and has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.
