With over 37 years of experience in mass timber and steel erection, Mike is the go to for all constructability concerns for all Western Wood Structures (WWS) mass timber projects. Mike graduated in 1983 from Oregon State University with a BS in Construction Engineering Management and he’s been building ever since. He’s owned his own company, been the President of Structural Roof Erectors Association, and is currently the vice president and part of the ownership team at WWS, all while raising three amazing daughters. Recently, with the development of mass timber in the U.S. over the past six years, Mike has a wealth of experience dealing with the issues that arise on large mass timber projects. He’s made the mistakes so that you don’t have to. Today he is here to help you understand the complexities and detailed challenges of combining mass timber with steel and concrete.
