Pete Kobelt helped import the first commercial mass timber project in the U.S. in August 2011 and has since gone on to help deliver several major mass timber projects including many of the largest university campus projects. Pete has also been instrumental in helping start several mass timber manufacturing facilities and helped Walmart reimagine their 350 acre campus in Bentonville, Arkansas. Currently Pete is leading Structure Tone Building Group’s initiative to help it’s global client base understand the many benefits of design and building with mass timber and recently assembled several of the first CLT-based accessory dwelling unit prototypes for workforce housing at a ski resort. Pete believes additional value added prefabrication and modular applications will become a big part of what’s next for mass timber.
