Stephen Szycher, P.E., LEED AP is a managing principal and Northeast Region Leader at Thornton Tomasetti. He leads the firm’s mission critical facilities sector, overseeing project delivery for data and telecommunication centers, medical buildings, military installations and other critical facilities throughout North America. He is skilled in designing resilient buildings to house vital business operations and systems, taking into account specific project requirements, such as levels of security and redundancy, future flexibility and environmental considerations including seismic and wind loads. Steve has numerous design-build and fast-track projects to his credit and works closely with architects and other consultants to ensure that schedules and budgets are met. In addition to his mission critical work, he has a broad background in the design and analysis of a variety of building types, including commercial, mixed-use, educational and healthcare facilities in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
