Tara Bray, AIA is a trauma-informed architect and Director of Environmental & Social Impact at Modus Studio. With a mission to weave empathy into the fabric of our built environment, she is redefining how architecture can address both human and environmental needs. Tara earned her Master of Architecture from Kansas State University, where her research at the intersection of sustainability and wellness laid the foundation for her career.
A passionate advocate for mass timber, she champions its potential as a sustainable and resilient material that fosters healthier, more equitable spaces. Tara is known for her ability to unify diverse groups around a shared mission, forging meaningful connections and generating solutions that drive long-term impact. Her work bridges trauma-informed design, sustainability, and DEI-focused community engagement, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving transformative outcomes.
