Tim Gokhman is the managing director at New Land Enterprises, a pioneering real estate development firm specializing in mixed-use residential and commercial real estate.
Founded in 1993, New Land has developed 27 projects creating over $650M in value. The firm has a long history of innovation, whether it be new materials, technology, design, or neighborhood.
The company’s diverse development experience includes the development of 2,200+ apartments in Milwaukee using all construction methodologies — stick frame, light gauge, PT, and mass timber. New Land has also formed private/public partnerships to create pedestrian plazas and mural arts alleys.
New Land’s Ascent MKE, the world’s tallest mass timber building, was completed in September 2022, gaining international attention.
Tim serves on the WoodWorks board as the developer representative, is on the Business Journal Leadership Trust, and is a YPO member. He has been featured in the New York Times, NBC Nightly News, NPR, WSJ, Vox, and a documentary on mass timber (Curiosity Network). He’s been a speaker at the CTBUH Annual Conference (Dubai 2018), the 2022 ULI Fall Meeting, and the 2020, 2021, and 2022 International Mass Timber Conferences.
He is currently working on forming a new mass timber development company.
