Driven by curiosity about the built environment and its impact beyond aesthetics, creates meaningful spaces by fostering organic relationships between structures and their context. She approaches design collaboratively, producing results that enhance daily lives. With a comprehensive perspective spanning societal responses to technical detailing, Whitney’s diverse skill set blurs the boundary between the built and natural environment.

Whitney’s professional journey includes early years as a landscape designer, mastering technical skills as an architect in adaptive reuse projects, commercial restaurant and hospitality design experience across the country, and leading Architect for high-rise, mixed-use developments. Whitney actively contributes to sustainable design practices at Studio Ma and advocates for women in architecture through mentoring and involvement with Arizona State University, AIA Arizona, and the International Living Futures Institute. Whitney is the current Chair of the AIA Arizona Committee on the Environment. In her role, Whitney is integral in leading the organization in its mission to advance sustainable design practices throughout the wider profession.
