Michael Weinert is the Senior Product Manager for Mass Timber Construction at Simpson Strong-Tie and has held this role since 2021. He leads the development of new mass timber connector products in North America and supports other departments including marketing, sales, and engineering as a mass timber subject matter expert. Prior to his current role, Mr. Weinert spent 15 years as a consulting structural engineer designing a wide variety of project types including the renovation of historic buildings and cultural institutions, private developer high-rise residential towers, public pedestrian bridges, and buildings as prefabricated/manufactured products.

Michael is a licensed professional structural engineer and has overseen the construction administration of projects with construction costs totaling $1 Billion. He earned his Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Washington, where his studies and research focused on earthquake engineering.
