Focusing on the intersection of architecture, sustainability and people, Michael Hensley has led the design for a broad and diverse range of projects. He explores opportunities to create impactful designs based on the human experience and augmented through the integration of technology, sustainability, and, most recently, mass timber.
With a passion for building with timber and an advocate for its broader use, Mr. Hensley led the team for T3 RiNo, a mass timber headquarters in Denver. Additional mass timber experience includes designs for Austin Harbor, a mixed-use development in Austin, and the office component of the Greyhound development in downtown Denver.
Recent projects include the 44-story Ritz-Carleton in Houston; 530 Howard Street, an 840-foot tall residential tower in San Francisco. He was also a Project Designer for Sherwin-Williams’ new corporate headquarters in Cleveland. Additional projects include 1144 Fifteenth Street in Denver, Colorado; ExxonMobil Global Campus in Houston; and The Atrium in Dubai, UAE.
Mr. Hensley received a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated as a Collegiate Scholar with Honors. He was a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar and a recipient of the University of Texas Architecture Travel Scholarship.
