Andrea Newton joined the Urban Land Institute Northwest as the executive director in 2019. Ms. Newton’s experience spans developing and executing strategies for various companies as a consultant, serving as executive director for an international healthcare non-profit as well as various roles in commercial real estate.

As a consultant, Ms. Newton led strategic planning, acquisition research and feasibility studies on urban markets for a family owned national real estate investment company. Prior to this, she served as the executive director for Imaging the World, an international global health non-profit. Before this she held the position of regional vice president at Resource Real Estate in Philadelphia, where she directed a 17-state territory. In this position, she raised capital for real estate investment funds across the US.

Additionally, Ms. Newton had numerous roles at a pension fund advisory firm (now Bentall GreenOak) in client relations, finance and asset management, helping to raise and effectively invest institutional capital in commercial real estate.
