Eric is co-Founder and principal at Interstice where he leads applied research. He also maintains a role as digital practice manager at Forefront Structural Engineers. Eric has an education in architecture, has practiced as a structural engineer, and has a passion for computational design. Eric believes in a holistic design approach and that interdisciplinary collaboration is key to solving modern construction challenges.

Eric has focused his career on delivering sustainable, buildable, and cost effective solutions to his projects, and mass timber has become a key focus of his work. At Interstice, Eric has helped to build a robust framework for successful mass timber project delivery, from early system optimization to bespoke construction logistics platforms. Eric has utilized this framework on several projects ranging from a single story to 22 stories of mass timber.
