Kate Carrigg

Based out of the Portland, OR area, Kate serves as WoodWorks – Wood Products Council regional director, providing education and assistance within the AEC and Development Communities toward the use of wood in commercial and multifamily construction. Kate earned a Dual Masters of Science degree from Oregon State University in Wood Science and Civil Engineering and has a decade of industry experience in the Pacific Northwest. With backgrounds in structural engineering and construction management, she brings a unique perspective to every challenge and project she assists with. Kate has extensive experience with a multitude of successful projects ranging from commercial mass timber to multifamily light-frame podium buildings and continues to be driven by her excitement for wood as an innovative and sustainable structural material.
