Troy Harris
Managing Director
Timberland and Innovative Wood Products · Jamestown, LP (Atlanta, GA)
Mr. Harris is a certified forester responsible for leading Jamestown’s Timberland Investment Team, which oversees four separate timberland funds. Jamestown currently manages more than 110,000 acres of institutional quality timberland in the U.S. south and northeast. Mr. Harris also serves on a team at Jamestown exploring the expanded use of innovative wood products. Jamestown has announced plans to construct a 100,000 square foot mass timber building at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Georgia, locally sourced from timber sustainably grown and harvested in the Southeast. He also serves on the steering committee that is establishing Georgia’s Sustainable Development Carbon Registry. The expansion of the Registry will enable the creation and tracking of carbon credits tied to carbon sequestered in construction projects throughout the state as well as the embodied carbon benefits arising from a whole-building life cycle assessment. The primary objective will be to increase the use of construction materials that sequester, or store carbon, furthering sustainable development in Georgia.
