Rosboro's Springfield Manufacturing Campus

We are excited to welcome you to Springfield, Oregon and give you a firsthand look at the significant investments Rosboro has made in our manufacturing operations. Over the past two years, Rosboro has invested more than $100 million in new production infrastructure at our Springfield manufacturing campus, including approximately 225,000 square feet of new buildings and site improvements. These investments represent a major step forward in our ability to serve our customers and strengthen Rosboro’s position as North America’s largest producer of glue-laminated timber.

At the heart of this investment is State-of-the-art Glulam manufacturing facility designed to add approximately 70 million board feet of annual production capacity, along with multiple upgrades throughout our vertically integrated manufacturing process. The expansion project included additional dry kiln capacity utilizing continuous feed systems, new technologically advanced lamstock planer and Glulam manufacturing facilities. The Glulam facility includes System TM lamstock feeding systems, two Kallesoe radio-frequency Glulam press lines, and a highly advanced customized Costa sanding system. The Glulam facility was also designed to capture and reuse heat generated during the production process to heat the plant, further improving energy efficiency and reducing overall energy consumption. Together, these investments expand both the capacity and flexibility of our operation while improving raw material utilization, production efficiency, quality, consistency, and energy efficiency.

During the tour, we look forward to showing you how these investments come together across our entire operation—from log to finished beams and columns. Our vertical integration has always been a defining strength of Rosboro, giving us greater control over the raw materials, manufacturing process, quality, and ultimately the products we deliver to our customers. These new facilities take that capability to another level and position Rosboro to continue adapting to the changing needs of the market and continue to create meaningful opportunities for our customer partners.
