Holst Architecture
An associate with Holst Architecture, André Vilhena brings over a decade of experience working on civic, multi-family residential, non-profit, retail, and commercial architecture projects. A passionate designer, he is driven to create meaningful architecture that fosters a sense of place and community pride. An advocate for sustainability in the industry, André recently worked on The Nick Fish, a LEED Gold-certified mixed-use housing development in Portland’s Gateway Urban Renewal Area, and The Avens—a Passive House multi-family development in Boise, ID.
André is a key member of the Multnomah County Library’s new East County Library project in Gresham, Oregon. Designed with mass timber, the flagship library will soon become a dynamic landmark for the community, providing approximately 95,000 square feet for learning, play, and connection for generations to come.
André received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Building, Planning, and Design from the University of Melbourne in Australia, where he was born and raised.
