Andres Villegas is the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at Rayonier, where he has been driving the company’s external affairs and strategic communications for a year and a half.

With more than 25 years of international and domestic experience, Andres is a powerful, recognized leader in forestry and natural resource enterprises. As a lifelong advocate, he leverages his extensive government affairs background to build crucial alliances and advance Rayonier’s goals across the Southeast and Pacific Northwest.

Prior to joining Rayonier, Andres served for nine years as the President and CEO of the Georgia Forestry Association. Under his leadership, the GFA worked to ensure the prosperity of the forest sector in the #1 forestry state.

His career also includes pivotal roles at Weyerhaeuser, Catchlight Energy, and The Langdale Company. At the Georgia Department of Agriculture, he was instrumental in the successful launch of the Georgia Grown program, a key initiative that has delivered significant economic benefit to the state’s agricultural sector by fostering collaboration with key stakeholders.
