David holds a BA in International Business from Washington State University and an MBA from Oregon State University. During and following his undergraduate studies, he lived and worked in Japan for three years, studying at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies and gaining firsthand experience in Japanese language, culture, and business management practices.

David began his career at Vanport International, Inc. in 1997, where he spent nearly 20 years as a shareholder and Director, ultimately serving as Global Marketing Manager. In 2016, he joined UFP Industries as an International Development Specialist, focusing on new product development, international sourcing, vendor management, and direct global sales initiatives for the publicly traded company with more than 16,000 employees and 170 locations worldwide.

Over the past 28 years, David has led sourcing, product development, sales, and marketing efforts across more than 50 countries. He is a sought-after public speaker at trade shows, conferences, consulting firms, and universities, and is widely respected for his expertise in international trade, logistics, customs, and tariffs.

As Founder and Managing Director of the Stallcop Group, David helps companies expand their global sourcing, sales, and strategic market presence.
