Sustainable Northwest
Dylan is the President at Sustainable Northwest and is responsible for developing and advancing the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. For 16 years, Dylan has worked across program areas at Sustainable Northwest to craft balanced and solution-oriented natural resource policy, support community-based conservation, and advance organizational and partner interests.
He has experience with legislative and regulatory advocacy, coalition leadership, project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Dylan has played key roles in the passage and funding of signature state and federal legislation, including historic wildfire reform in Oregon, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Inflation Reduction Act, the Oregon Federal Forest Restoration Program, the Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program, and the U.S. Forest Service Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program.
Previously Dylan coordinated the Western Juniper Alliance, a 50-member organization working to restore the health of western rangelands, develop markets for Western Juniper wood products, and support rural economic vitality and wildlife habitat. He was also the bioenergy specialist at Sustainable Northwest, and established the organization’s Regenerative Ranching Program. He has served as a board member on the Biomass Thermal Energy Council, the National Rural Assembly, the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, and Sustainable Northwest Wood.
