Indroneil Ganguly

Indroneil Ganguly is an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences (SEFS) and Associate Director of the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR).

In April 2013, Dr. Ganguly joined the ranks of Faculty at SEFS with a dual appointment in SEFS and the CINTRAFOR. In May 2015, he was appointed as the Associate Director of CINTRAFOR. Dr. Ganguly’s research focuses on natural climate solutions and the synergic role between the wood products industry, trade, and regional forestry practices.

Dr. Ganguly received his Ph. D degree in forestry and international trade from the UW-SEFS. He also received a graduate diploma in International Development Policy & Management from UW’s Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs, and a Master’s degree equivalent in business management (MBA) from India. His academic training in forestry, interdisciplinary research experience in the global wood products industry, and disciplinary teaching experience in environmental economics, forestry, biostatistics, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) provide him with the necessary skills and knowledge base to successfully lead and mentor research and teaching at the CINTRAFOR and UW-SEFS.
