Linus is a Principal at Holmes who specialises in structural fire engineering for steel, concrete, and timber structures. With more than 20 years of international experience across Australia, and international markets, he develops structural fire engineering design strategies for buildings and performance based alternative solutions, working closely with approval authorities and design teams. He leads a specialist team of structural fire engineers and also serves on the Australia and New Zealand standards committee for the structural fire design of steel and composite structures. 

At Holmes, through his keen interest in mass timber construction, Linus has been involved in a wide range of projects, including the development of solutions for technically complex projects such as Atlassian Central. Currently under construction, Atlassian has required robust and innovative fire engineering solutions, and extensive design coordination between the Holmes and wider design team to address the complex and unique details in this timber-steel hybrid structure.
